We often get asked what are different type of grants that are available for startups. We have compiled the following list to help you navigate different grants currently avialable. (March 2023)
WINZ
The various WINZ grants are generally for individuals that are out of work and looking to start their own businesses:
Callaghan
Of particular mention is the New to R&D Grant. The New to R&D Grant replaces the previous Project Grant. This Grant specifically targets young R&D company. To be eligible, companies must not have received any government funding for R&D greater than $5,000 since 1st July 2019, including any Callaghan grants or loan, RDTI or RDLTC and must have spent less than $50k in R&D over the last 3 years.
The grant has a max cap of $400k. Half can be spent on R&D activities (co-funding of 20% of R&D activities) and the other half on capability development.
